Abbreviated Fast Wednesday’s this week due to Hurricane Irma … for those of you who do not know, I was impacted as my lanai (media/sun room) blew off the back of the house at our house in Lehigh Acres, FL, and we lost power. We did not get power back until yesterday, Thursday September 14, since Sunday, September 10. Things can be replaced. I thank God I was not anxious for one minute, I think the only time I was anxious, was when I discovered I wasn’t and keep telling myself that wasn’t normal. I wasn’t at home but here in Tampa, FL, initially during the storm. I did not travel to the home until Tuesday. My nephew and family took care of the house for me and let their little lights shine!
Food for Thought – For your awareness International Declutter Day is Saturday, September 23, 2017 … do you know how toxic clutter can be in one’s life? What perfect timing as some of us have gone through a physical hurricane, to throw out “stuff” we don’t need, want, etc. … http://internationaldeclutterday.com/ethos/
Any thoughts or comments welcome???
Scripture: Matthew 5:14–16 (NASB) — 14 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; 15 nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 “Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
There were many instances this week where I saw the light breaking through the darkness … thanking God for neighbors, family and friends … for shining their lights!

Lord, thank You for being the light within us so we can shine brightly for the world around us. When it seems darkness is crowding in, use us to make a difference. We ask that You will help us share Your love, joy and peace. You are the hope we need and the One light that will never burn out, be overcome or fade away. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Love, Joy and Peace,
