… Especially to those women who deliberately chose not to have children, to those women who do not have children yet and probably never will based on the cards life gave you, those mother’s who lost their children, and those children who have lost your mother’s. Some of you may have mother’s still living but there’s reason’s why you have no relationship and mother’s have living children but no relationships.
My prayers, at this time, are that we are all respectful, prayerful and mindful of these situations as we are blessed to celebrate the day in our own relationships.

Fighting for Your Family
Whatever God brings together, Satan wants to destroy. Your family is your special unit, your home team, your distinct, and unique biological tribe. Your family is uniquely yours although you may not always feel the love. Every family faces challenges, attacks, trials, opportunities and great blessings. Satan wants your family broken, tattered, torn, splintered, and fragmented. Satan wants your home to be a hub of hatred, dissension, confusion, chaos, and restlessness. But you must reject that notion, fighting with everything for God’s goodness to be alive within your family. You must be intentional in your family vision, family values, family virtues and your quest for victory within your family. Love is the foundation, faith is the fuel, hard work is the key, but tenacity is your secret weapon. God wants you to fight for your family while He is fighting with and for you!!!
Here are some characteristics you must work for and pray for:
- Unconditional Love
- Godly Vision
- Consistent Peace
- Continuous Joy
- Unwavering Hope
Here is a Scriptural confession you can recite as a family:
We confess as a family, according to the words of Isaiah 54:17 that no weapon formed against my family shall prosper. We confess our family is blessed, our family is fun, our family is strong, our family is whole and our family is anointed. We thank you Lord for your favor, your grace and your love. We believe your word is true, complete and without error. We know that your word will accomplish what it says it will accomplish. We work for victory, and have faith for victory within our family in the name of Jesus!
Here is a prayer you can pray for/with your family:
Lord God, we thank you for our family. You and only you brought this unique group of individuals together for your purposes to be fulfilled. We thank you that you order our steps as individuals and as a family. Help us to live lives that are pleasing to you in the way that we speak to each other, interact with one another and love each other. We pray right now that by the power of the Holy Spirit, we would sense attack when it comes and we would use our spiritual weapons to fight against the enemy and not each other. Help us to love openly, encourage consistently, support strongly and grow purposefully. We thank you in advance for how you will use our family as a testimony of your goodness and your greatness. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen!
Love, Joy and Peace,

Reminder AND/OR for those of you just joining us: The purpose of Fast Wednesdays is to draw near to God on this specific day of the week fasting and praying in whatever manner the Holy Spirit is leading you as sisters (and some brothers) in Christ…some have fasted from social media, coffee, or observed a traditional fast with no eating from sunrise to sunset with only liquids for the day, no deserts, etc. I know many of us, for various reasons, participate every week but in different manners. This has still been beneficial and the blog continues to grow!
The key ingredient is that we are doing this together as sisters, of all ages, in the Lord, both chronologically and spiritually in accordance to: A God-Filled Life Titus 2:3-5 “Guide older women into lives of reverence so they end up as neither gossips nor drunks, but models of goodness. By looking at them, the younger women will know how to love their husbands and children, be virtuous and pure, keep a good house, be good wives. We don’t want anyone looking down on God’s Message because of their behavior.” Note: Please share Fast Wednesdays with your friends and/or send me names to add to the distribution list. For now, I will post in three places: email (firstname.lastname@example.org), Facebook (Debra Fuller Ellis) and blog in Word Press: https://fastwednesdays.wordpress.com/
