A lot has happened already this year in terms of events, etc such as the Super Bowl is come and gone, Ground Hog saw his shadow, our north east coast friends have been snowed in several times, many friends and family have celebrated their January birthdays, others have mourned the passing of love ones, Black History month just started and so on. But on a different note, how are we personally coming working on our transformations especially in a spiritual vain? Let’s meditate and think on this today.
Transformation is our topic for multiple reasons, first being, I belong to an organization and we are having a meeting at the Butterfly Estates here in Ft. Myers, FL, on Saturday…what better symbol of TRANSFORMATION than the butterfly! Also, in the next two weeks or so I will be starting my “dream job!” A job that once was a secret desire of my heart. I worked for the gentleman who had it back in 1984…and, now, its mine…that’s TRANSFORMATION! (Psalms 37:4 Delight thyself in the Lord and he shall give you the desires of your heart…)!
Sadly, last week I shared a song by Whitney Houston and this week her baby girl, Bobbi Kristina Brown, is in the hospital critical! Many of you and I have already touched and agreed but lets all keep Bobbi Kristina and the entire family in prayer. We don’t know why but we do know GOD is in control! And, with that, let’s feast on another song by Whitney. A very simple one that most of us learned when we were little ones.
“Jesus Loves Me” — Whitney Houston
Romans 12:2 – And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Philippians 4:8 – Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, think on these things.
Romans 12:1-2 – I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, [which is] your reasonable service.
2 Corinthians 4:16 – For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward [man] is renewed day by day.
1 Peter 1:13 – Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
Psalms 119:11 – Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
Ephesians 4:23 – And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
The following was shared today with me by a friend..let’s meditate on it as our closing prayer:
“God is the best protector. He knows all, hears all, and sees all. He sees what your natural eyes may not notice initially. He knows what will occur before it happens. Nothing is hidden from Him; remain thankful of this. Anything He chooses to reveal to you is to help you become better, warn you of a potential danger, guard your heart, or enable you to make wise decisions. Don’t ignore the signs He gives you. Always listen to Him.” AMEN – by Positivity Inspires

Reminder AND/OR for those of you just joining us: The purpose of Fast Wednesdays is to draw near to God on this specific day of the week fasting and praying in whatever manner the Holy Spirit is leading you as sisters (and some brothers) in Christ…some have fasted from social media, coffee, or observed a traditional fast with no eating from sunrise to sunset with only liquids for the day, no deserts, etc. I know many of us, for various reasons, participate every week but in different manners. This has still been beneficial and the blog continues to grow!
The key ingredient is that we are doing this together as sisters, of all ages, in the Lord, both chronologically and spiritually in accordance to: A God-Filled Life Titus 2:3-5 “Guide older women into lives of reverence so they end up as neither gossips nor drunks, but models of goodness. By looking at them, the younger women will know how to love their husbands and children, be virtuous and pure, keep a good house, be good wives. We don’t want anyone looking down on God’s Message because of their behavior.” Note: Please share Fast Wednesdays with your friends and/or send me names to add to the distribution list. For now, I will post in three places: email (firstname.lastname@example.org), Facebook (Debra Fuller Ellis) and blog in Word Press: https://fastwednesdays.wordpress.com/
