I missed everyone last week but I had a great vacation spending time with friends and even connecting with my accountability partner and setting plans for hopefully more growth and accomplishments.
Actually, this put me in a “stress” free place so that I felt very tranquil and calm as I went about doing various tasks. I have come to realize that there’s some things I can never change, others that I have to put into God’s hands and others where I have to stop procrastinating and “just do it,” and, when I accept all this, it does give me true peace.
(I always say, nobody makes you lose your peace or joy … you GIVE it away).
So, for today, let’s all focus on what would give us a tranquil, calm stress free day, week, life and start setting up some boundaries to ensure it happens…there’s an APP for that!
I have an APP called CALM that I obtained from the App Store on my smartphone: The disclaimer says “Welcome, making time each day to quiet your mind has life-changing benefits. In a moment, you’ll take the first step towards unlocking your inner reservoir of calm. So find a comfortable place, put on your headphones, and let’s begin.” Once you go in the APP you can choose different scenes and then follow the rest of the directions which are called Seven Steps of Calm.
We have so many tools at our disposal these days and I advocate we start using them…go to the SPA, take a R&R day, spend time by yourself just listening to nature…this is a time when you can really hear what God is saying to you with no other noises and distractions.

Jonathan Butler “I Stand on Your Word”
Prayer (Dr. Charles Stanley):
Father, I have been experiencing an extremely stressful time in my Life. I find myself in a melodramatic and over-exaggerated display of emotions. Sometimes I say too much and others times I do not say enough. I do have Faith in You and Your Divine Guidance and I have no idea why I choose to continue to react in such a sensational reactive manner. I suppose it is because I feel afraid, alone and I don’t know what to do. I know You are with me Father and I consciously choose to embrace a higher state of awareness that includes You. I AM listening Father. I AM listening for You to tell me the next step to take. Father, I ask you to increase my Faith, discipline and resolve so that when I encounter difficult circumstances, my spirit is calmed. I AM certain that You have my best interests under Your Divine Control, Influence, Power and Love.I am knocking. I am seeking. I am asking you to help me. Through Jesus Christ’s Precious Blood and Most Holy Face I ask you to release me from this stressful situation. Amen.
Love, Joy and Peace,

Reminder AND/OR for those of you just joining us: The purpose of Fast Wednesdays is to draw near to God on this specific day of the week fasting and praying in whatever manner the Holy Spirit is leading you as sisters (and some brothers) in Christ…some have fasted from social media, coffee, or observed a traditional fast with no eating from sunrise to sunset with only liquids for the day, no deserts, etc. I know many of us, for various reasons, participate every week but in different manners. This has still been beneficial and the blog continues to grow!
The key ingredient is that we are doing this together as sisters, of all ages, in the Lord, both chronologically and spiritually in accordance to: A God-Filled Life Titus 2:3-5 “Guide older women into lives of reverence so they end up as neither gossips nor drunks, but models of goodness. By looking at them, the younger women will know how to love their husbands and children, be virtuous and pure, keep a good house, be good wives. We don’t want anyone looking down on God’s Message because of their behavior.” Note: Please share Fast Wednesdays with your friends and/or send me names to add to the distribution list. For now, I will post in three places: email (firstname.lastname@example.org), Facebook (Debra Fuller Ellis) and blog in Word Press: https://fastwednesdays.wordpress.com/
