Fast Wednesdays, April 16, 2014 – Celebrating Easter

Greetings Beloved:I understand our distribution list reflects many different religions and creeds, and, I am thankful, mindful and appreciative for diversity which I believe honors God since we are each others neighbors and the bible has instructed us to first love him and then love our neighbor as we love ourselves. I was saddened on Sunday with the tragic killings in Kansas that appear to be “hate crime related” of another religion. Here’s some comments our President Barak Obama had on the matter at the 5th Annual Easter Prayer Breakfast with many faith leaders at the White House this week.http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/04/14/president-obama-easter-prayer-breakfast_n_5148643.html?utm_hp_ref=religion

This week is the highest, holy time of my Christian faith as well as for my brothers and sisters of the Jewish faith who celebrate Passover. So, I will leave you to celebrate your faith in whatever manner is your tradition…just wanted to check in, say hello, peace and pray that we will connect next week.

Our topic last week dealing with being MAD and ANGER appeared to be right on. Please share any matters of your heart you would like for discussion, feel free to do so anytime and I am also seeking “guest bloggers.” You never know how you will be blessed as you share…its on my heart that we “need to be about our father’s business” and if you agree, step it up either in your personal relationship with God, using your gifts and talents, praying for others, studying the scriptures, or however you may be led.

Finally, I’m sharing a picture from my husband, Alvin’s recent graduation as many of you have asked…thanks for all your cards, shout outs, and love!

SONG:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=80Dpek7qK08&feature=kpPRAYER:

Dear Lord God, many of us know you by different names but no matter what the name you are the great creator, the everlasting father, the great I am. May we continue to look to you for the source of our faith, our comforter of our soul, who makes each of us whole and complete. May we shower you with Crazy Love, like we have never seen or experienced before and may we be our brothers (and sisters) keepers as you have commanded. Bless your holy and righteous name, glory to you in the highest. Amen!

Love, Joy and Peace,

Reminder AND/OR for those of you just joining us: The purpose of Fast Wednesdays is to draw near to God on this specific day of the week fasting and praying in whatever manner the Holy Spirit is leading you as sisters (and some brothers) in Christ…some have fasted from social media, coffee, or observed a traditional fast with no eating from sunrise to sunset with only liquids for the day, no deserts, etc. I know many of us, for various reasons, participate every week but in different manners. This has still been beneficial and the blog continues to grow!

The key ingredient is that we are doing this together as sisters, of all ages, in the Lord, both chronologically and spiritually in accordance to: A God-Filled Life Titus 2:3-5 “Guide older women into lives of reverence so they end up as neither gossips nor drunks, but models of goodness. By looking at them, the younger women will know how to love their husbands and children, be virtuous and pure, keep a good house, be good wives. We don’t want anyone looking down on God’s Message because of their behavior.”  Note: Please share Fast Wednesdays with your friends and/or send me names to add to the distribution list. For now, I will post in three places: email (djf52055@gmail.com), Facebook (Debra Fuller Ellis) and blog in Word Press:  https://fastwednesdays.wordpress.com/
