We are Royalty!

1 Peter 2:9

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people, that ye should show forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

Greetings Beloved!
I have been thinking lately about the recent birth of Prince George over in the UK. Did you see all the excitement, breaking news coverage, etc.? Well, that’s exactly what happens for us when we decide to make GOD the head of our lives. The angels in heaven celebrate! God gives us equal shares in the only worthy inheritance as well as promises, blessings and treasures beyond compare! Have you made a commitment to GOD? Are you holding up your end? If so, you are storing up treasures in heaven, where it truly matters.
Likewise, did you see on the news this past week, link below, where a couple named their child Messiah and a judge got involved and made them change the name to Martin. Said she only knows one Messiah, and he was Jesus…what did y’all think of that one…?

Also, how do you feel about your self? Are you speaking positive words over your life? Or are you being negative? Remember, our words have power, there’s death and life in the tongue, let’s choose life…

Read this week: Exodus 9:16, Deu. 7:16, 10:15, Isaiah 43:20 and Acts 26:18 (These scriptures focus on how GOD has chosen us to be his people. How he will give us water in the wilderness, rivers in the desert, and so much more based on the convenant he made long ago with Abraham!
The following was written by Deborah Smith Pegues:

I was standing behind a lady at the checkout counter today at one of my favorite discount variety stores when the clerk totaled her purchases. The customer didn’t have enough money to pay for all of her items so she began to select things to leave behind. “Oh no”, I said to the clerk. “Just put her items on my bill.” The clerk looked surprised; the lady was pleased—and grateful. (I knew that it was the least I could do for having been so abundantly blessed by the grace of God.)

As I finished checking out, I noticed that the lady had left one of the items I’d paid for on the counter. At that moment, I had TWO epiphanies about what Jesus did for us in dying on the Cross. No way could we pay our sin debt; but he stepped forward and said, “Put it on my bill!” HE PAID IT ALL! Now, here is what really blows me away. Some people walk away from what has already been paid for and never get the benefit of it. If you know somebody today who has not embraced what Jesus has done, run after them and tell them that you too once had a debt that you couldn’t pay but you accepted the GIFT. Compel them to come… to RECEIVE the gift. That’s all that any of us can do when we are Spiritually Bankrupt! JUST ACCEPT THE GIFT!  Feel free to share this message.

Father, we pray that the fruits of the spirit (including love, joy and peace) will overtake us in our lives and cause us to be united and on one accord working in unity. Bless us to complete our purpose you have for us and help us to model our lives on Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Bless us all, in his name, AMEN!

Reminder AND/OR for those of you just joining us: The purpose of Fast Wednesdays is to draw near to God on this specific day of the week fasting and praying in whatever manner the Holy Spirit is leading you as sisters (and some brothers) in Christ…some have fasted from social media, coffee, or observed a traditional fast with no eating from sunrise to sunset with only liquids for the day, no deserts, etc. I know many of us, for various reasons, participate every week but in different manners. This has still been beneficial and the blog continues to grow!

The key ingredient is that we are doing this together as sisters, of all ages, in the Lord, both chronologically and spiritually in accordance to: A God-Filled Life Titus 2:3-5 “Guide older women into lives of reverence so they end up as neither gossips nor drunks, but models of goodness. By looking at them, the younger women will know how to love their husbands and children, be virtuous and pure, keep a good house, be good wives. We don’t want anyone looking down on God’s Message because of their behavior.”  Note: Please share Fast Wednesdays with your friends and/or send me names to add to the distribution list. For now, I will post in three places: email (djf52055@gmail.com), Facebook (Debra Fuller Ellis) and blog in Word Press:  https://fastwednesdays.wordpress.com/
