Definition(s) of Grace:
4—used as a title of address or reference for a duke, a duchess, or an archbishop
Grace is a gift from God. There are those who simply define grace as “God’s unmerited favor.” Grace is perhaps one of the most misunderstood words, along with faith, in the entire Bible. And it is one of the most important. Some people define grace as forgiveness. Some people define grace as good manners. Some people define grace as mercy. None of these are a complete definition of grace.” Grace is so much more…for today, these definitions suffice as they help me get to reflect upon today’s topic which will be short.
Last night and during the wee of hours of this morning I saw GRACE in action in our Presidential election here in America. I saw and heard one of the most GRACIOUS concession speeches I have ever heard come from candidate, Former Governor W. Mitt Romney. Next, I watched and listened intently as our incumbent President Barak Obama GRACIOUSLY delivered his acceptance speech…political party lines were set aside for the historic moment.
As everyone gets back to whatever it is we do, let us remember GRACE, for a house divide against itself cannot stand.

Philippians 1:6-7 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace.

Amplified Bible (AMP)9 Practice hospitality to one another (those of the household of faith). [Be hospitable, be a lover of strangers, with brotherly affection for the unknown guests, the foreigners, the poor, and all others who come your way who are of Christ’s body.] And [in each instance] do it ungrudgingly (cordially and graciously, without complaining but as representing Him).10 As each of you has received a gift (a particular spiritual talent, a gracious divine endowment), employ it for one another as [befits] good trustees of God’s many-sided grace [faithful stewards of the [a]extremely diverse powers and gifts granted to Christians by unmerited favor].
The following heartfelt prayer comes from a friend and sister in Christ and it says it all for me on this matter…you all are blessed to be a blessing and let us all go in grace:
Dear God in Heaven,
Please help us choose a president that loves this country, who respects You as the one true God, who will, with Your help, restore this nation to its former glory, the way You created her. Please God weaken the evil and strengthen the good. May our eyes be opened. In Jesus’ name, Amen
Love, Joy and Peace,

Reminder AND/OR for those of you just joining us either by contacting me or I personally added you: The purpose of Fast Wednesdays is to draw near to God on this specific day of the week fasting and praying in whatever manner the Holy Spirit is leading you as sisters in Christ…some have fasted from social media, coffee, or observed a traditional fast with no eating from sunrise to sunset with only liquids for the day, no deserts, etc. I know many of us for various reasons participate every week but in different manners. This has still been beneficial and the sisterhood continues to grow!
The key ingredient is that we are doing this together as sisters, of all ages, in the Lord both chronologically and spiritually in accordance to: A God-Filled Life Titus 2:3-5 “Guide older women into lives of reverence so they end up as neither gossips nor drunks, but models of goodness. By looking at them, the younger women will know how to love their husbands and children, be virtuous and pure, keep a good house, be good wives. We don’t want anyone looking down on God’s Message because of their behavior.”
Note: Please share Fast Wednesdays with your friends and/or send me names to add to the distribution list. For now, I will post in three places: email (firstname.lastname@example.org), Facebook (Debra Fuller Ellis) and blog
